Personality of the week: Tinie Tempah
RapperPatrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, better known by his stage name Tinie Tempah, is an English rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He has been signed to Parlophone Records since 2009, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. He created his own record and fashion label Disturbing London Records in 2007 along with his cousin, Dumi Oburota.

Tinie Tempah was born Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu, Jr in London on 7 November, 1988.
He lived in a housing estate in South East London until he was 12 with his parents and three younger siblings.
He got his stage name after looking up ‘Anger’ in the thesaurus. He thought Temper sounded too aggressive, so added ‘Tinie’.
In 2007 Tinie Tempah released a mix CD, the 28-track Hood Economics Room 147, which he described as an ‘audio scrapbook’. It received a positive review from the New York Times
